Glutamine- is an amino acid that plays an important role in many of your body’s functions. Besides contributing to the development and maintenance of your muscles, glutamine contributes to a healthy immune system, normal brain function and digestion. The amino acid is sometimes given to people suffering from inflammatory bowel disease or cancer.

Ornithine- is an amino acid that has an anti-fatigue effect by increasing the efficiency of energy consumption and promoting the excretion of ammonia. The body uses ornithine for immune support, wound healing and liver repair. It is often used after surgery to accelerate the healing process. It is also associated with the body’s production of human growth hormones.

Arginine- is an amino acid that concerts in the body into a chemical call nitric oxide. ‘Nitric oxide causes blood vessels to open wider for improved blood flow. Arginine also stimulates the release of growth hormone, insulin, and other substances in the body. It is also used for sexual problems in both men and women. Arginine is also used for recurrent pain in the legs due to blocked arteries, decreased mental capacity in the elderly (senile dementia), erectile dysfunction (ED), and male infertility. Arginine also speeds wound healing and for increasing blood flow to cold hands and feet, especially in people with diabetes.

L-Carnitine-: plays a major role in the body’s fat breakdown process. It is essential for converting body fat back into usable energy by moving fatty acids out of cells’ cytoplasm and into their mitochondria. Once they are in the mitochondria, the fatty acids are used as energy rather than stored on the body. Increasing L-Carnitine intake also promotes weight loss by improving protein synthesis. Because L-Carnitine consists of amino acids, it helps the body increase muscle mass. As muscle mass grows, it reduces excess body fat and eliminates problem areas on the body. L-Carnitine also boosts energy, which promotes weight loss by providing the stamina needed to push harder during workouts. Longer, more intense workouts burn more calories and reduce weight as a result.

Lysine- Lysine is an amino acid that supports the body’s antibody, hormone, and enzyme function. Lysine is an amino acid required for human nutrition but is not produced by the body.

Citrulline– is a substance called a non-essential amino acid. Your kidneys change Citrulline into another amino acid called L-arginine and a chemical called nitric oxide. These compounds are important to your heart and blood vessel health. They may also boost your immune system. L-Citrulline boosts nitric oxide production in the body. Nitric oxide helps your arteries relax and work better, which improves blood flow throughout your body. This may be helpful for treating or preventing many diseases.

Evidence suggests the supplement could possibly help lower blood pressure in people with prehypertension.
